Overview

TailTally is a pet health tracking app that helps you keep records of your pets' vaccinations, medications, vet visits, weight, and insurance details. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data we collect, how we store it, and your rights.

Data We Collect

TailTally collects and stores the following data that you voluntarily provide:

• Pet information (name, type, breed, birth date, gender, microchip number, notes)
• Vaccination records (name, dates, veterinarian, clinic, batch numbers)
• Medication records (name, dosage, frequency, schedule)
• Vet visit records (date, reason, clinic, diagnosis, treatment, cost, notes)
• Weight measurements
• Insurance details (provider name, policy number)
• Notification preferences

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, location, or any other personal identifying information.

How Your Data Is Identified

TailTally does not require account creation or login. Instead, a random unique identifier (UUID) is generated and stored on your device. This identifier is used solely to associate your pet data with your device. It cannot be used to identify you personally.

How Data Is Stored

Your data is stored securely in a cloud database hosted by Supabase (powered by PostgreSQL). All communication between the app and the database is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS.

Your device identifier is stored locally in your browser or app storage. If you clear your app data or switch devices, you may lose access to your records unless you use the Export/Import feature in Settings.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, share, or transfer your data to any third parties. Your data is only accessible through your device and is not visible to other users.

Your Rights

• Export: You can export all your data as a JSON file at any time via Settings > Export Data.
• Import: You can import a previously exported backup via Settings > Import Data.
• Delete: You can delete individual pets (and all their associated records) from the Edit Pet screen. This action is permanent and cannot be undone.

Notifications

TailTally can send local notifications to remind you about upcoming vaccinations, medication schedules, and vet visits. Notifications are processed entirely on your device and are not sent through any external push notification service. You can enable or disable notifications in Settings.

Analytics & Tracking

TailTally does not use any analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs. We do not track your usage patterns, and we do not display advertisements.

Children's Privacy

TailTally does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app does not require personal information to function.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
